Next Meeting of the BTA – Glasgow Tinnitus Group:
Wednesday, 20th September 2017, 6.30-8.30pm (doors open 6pm)
About the Glasgow Tinnitus Group
Alan Hopkirk who is Clinical Director at The Invisible Hearing Clinic in Glasgow runs the group.
It is affiliated with the British Tinnitus Association (BTA). The BTA is a charity that is dedicated to supporting those affected by tinnitus. They support research in order to improve treatment and develop a cure for tinnitus.
Our group supports those affected by tinnitus. We include those newly or long-term diagnosed and also their close family and friends. All are welcome to attend. There is no membership fee, so we welcome donations if you feel the meeting has been helpful to you.
Our meetings encourage those attending to “tell their story” so that other members can offer advice on how they have coped. Alan backs up these personal stories with clinical and factual information. We consider all participants as equal because their contributions are all valid. We also host a Q & A session since you will want to have those “I wish I knew” questions answered!
From time to time we invite guest speakers because the group find their input interesting and helpful. We are always interested in suggestions or recommendations for speakers so please call us or email suggestions.
